I was asked, somewhat unexpectedly, to teach a section of ENGL 135: Advanced Composition during the July 2016 session at DeVry University. I have been asked, with less surprise, to teach it again in later sessions, such as the May 2017, the November 2017, the March 2018, the September 2018, and the November 2018. Most sessions have asked me to teach blended classes, obliging ample online participation and a weekly four-hour on-site meeting. It continues to represent an opportunity to refine my teaching repertoire that is quite welcome, and the support structure already in place to facilitate teaching comes off as being quite helpful.

I still plan to continue to make the usual course-blog updates throughout the term. And I have developed, if only provisionally, a new topic for consideration for the course project: curricular reform, though I know that the online classes do not necessarily admit of working with it well. I can hope it will yield better work than the standard topics have tended to prompt.
