After addressing concerns from and questions about the previous class meeting, including the quiz, discussion asked after thoughts on the Desc, of which the FV was to have been submitted online before class began. Talk then introduced the upcoming Narr.
Also noted was the taking-up of next week’s class meetings with one-on-one conferences. Each student will meet with the instructor in Weir 209 for ten to fifteen minutes, during which the student will receive comments about the Desc and receive guidance in composing the Narr; students should bring what they have of their work on the Narr to the conference. Present students were encouraged to select times; absent students were assigned times. The list of such times appears below:

Attending the conference is vitally important; it counts as attendance for the week, so it can earn or lose three class meetings.
If there is some problem with the date/time listed, please contact me.
Students are reminded of the following due dates:
- Narr PV (in typed hard copy at the beginning of class time on 3 October 2016)
- Narr RV (online before the beginning of class time on 7 October 2016)

Please note that instructional materials are still being developed for the course.
