What might they think
Those in whose names today is observed
Even when
Especially when
Those names are not known?

Would they feel pride at what they see
At the state of the nation for which they bled
For which they died
And of its actions in the world?
Perhaps it remains for the best
That they continue quiet rest
Who stood before the final test
And passed it
